“Make frugal living a game. Challenge yourself to cut your expensives by 5% a month for example.”
From ehow.com
I think I’ll apply this to my allowance–my expenses is pretty much my rent (food is included in my rent) and my bills. Basically my allowances is the money I spend on food, clothes, and other luxuries. So the goal for this month is to see if I will end up with 4 dollars remaining by the end of the month. Like I said, I’m not too sure about how much to give myself in allowance. I’m going to see if I can give myself 20 dollars/wk in allowances to see how that goes. OS suggests 40 dollars but…eh…that’s a little bit too much. So far the allowance thing is going really well. I even got myself a different type of wallet instead of those chunky ones so I would stop carrying around credit/debit cards. Something that is just for cash and coins only.
Yay! tomorrow is payday!
Today I went to financial aid was to declare my independent status. I heard it was hard but you know the worse they can do to me is say “no.” But I have to wait for that “no” in two weeks.
Right now I’m studying for neurophysiology–doing some reading. Crap, I didn’t even know there was some reading in the course reader.
I was talking to my neighbor about how even though I have to pay for my tuition, I came to realize that even though I was in this mess, I would still try to get a second job because I basically live paycheck to paycheck and I would like to get some extra money because I would like to save up as much as I can when I graduate. And I’m tired of touching my savings to cover my rent and once in a while disastrous events like uber expensive textbooks when I know I got goals.
Goals for tomorrow: Do some QPH work in the kitchen (if possible). Go to the gym in the morning. Go to the mall after work to look some seasonal job during Christmas season. Still applying for med center jobs though.
